Hyperolius torrentis Schiøtz, 1967

Hyperolius torrentis is a species of frog in the Hyperoliidae family. It is found in Ghana and Togo. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, and rocky areas. It is threatened by habitat loss.

A large forest Hyperolius (males 31-38 mm, females 41 mm) from easternmost Ghana and adjacent Togo. Males with a small, circular gular flap. Pupil horizontal. Dorsum uniform yellow to brown or olive. Some males have a rather diffuse darker hour-glass pattern. Ventrum yellowish orange, discs pink.

This species occurs only from the Akwapim-Togo Range in eastern Ghana and western Togo.

Found on or near vertical cliffs in forest or at the vertical sides of deep gullies in open forest. Only known from a few localities in the Akwapim-Togo range from south-eastern Ghana to Togo.

The males call from dense forest, apparently near small waterfalls or dripping water. The call is an irregular series of clicks with high intensity and a rather long duration, so that they sound "larger" than the voices of H. concolor and H. baumanni from the same area.
